LONDON : Idea Fabrik Plc. (GB00B61CVK31, TI4.F), a 3D Virtual Worlds developer, today announced that the company has purchased the HeroEngine and HeroCloud game development technologies from privately held Simutronics Corp. HeroEngine is the world’s leading development platform for 3D online worlds and multiplayer games. Since launching in 2006 HeroEngine has been licensed to dozens of game development firms worldwide for projects such as the EA/BioWare Star Wars: The Old Republic game and Enne’s virtual world project for teaching Spanish.

The HeroCloud service makes the powerful HeroEngine development technology available in the internet cloud, dramatically lowering cost for small developers while offering additional services like hosting, billing, and network operations. Alex Shalash, company’s Chairman, said ‘We are very pleased to announce the acquisition of HeroEngine assets. We have hired the staff of Simutronics that was associated with the development and support of HeroEngine/HeroCloud and taken steps to ensure a seamless transition of
operations.’

Shalash added, ‘We intend to invest additional resources to make these already great products even better. And we see strong potential in combining Hero team’s technology expertise with Idea Fabrik’s game development teams in the US and Ukraine to deliver the most engaging gaming and social networking experience to the rapidly growing internet and social gaming industry.’

Said Neil Harris, former president of HeroEngine at Simutronics and now COO of Idea Fabrik, ‘When we met the Idea Fabrik team it was clear that our long-term goals were in perfect sync. By combining our businesses we can realize our ambitious goals for bringing 3D gaming and virtual worlds to the next generation.’

Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

Investment Funds and Mutual Funds in Austria are divided in three categories by the Austrian tax authorities: black, white and blossom white (Blütenweiss).

The difference between white and black is that the white funds report their returns to the Federal department of finance of Austria via an Austrian representative like an Austrian bank or Trustee,

A fund that has blütenweiss status reports, in addition to that, retained capital gain taxes, and/or EU source taxes on capital gains being withhold from investors, to the Central Control Bank of Austria (OeKB) on a daily basis.

This makes a blütenweiss fund very transparent to Austrian investors and the controlling bodies of the country and has a far more credibility then a white or black fund.

Next Alternative, Inc. (Ticker: TYI) is a green/nano technology company that will be a fully reporting company listed on the FSE. NAI has the license and distribution agreements for three unique technologies:

CNT Battery
The Carbon Nano Tube car battery has proven to power vehicles 3X longer than conventional lithium-ion or lead-acid batteries. It also takes a full charge in 10 minutes instead of 8 hours. The CNT batteries are manufactured by K-MBT of South Korea. NAI has large indications from EzGo golf carts for initial purchases based upon quality control testing which is almost complete, as well as plans to penetrate the electric car market.

M-Fuel
A suspension fuel made from a combination of heavy oil, water and a Nano Emulsifier, produced by an NPU (Nano Processing Unit) that combines the molecules to produce a diesel fuel that costs 25% less than diesel and burns with 60% less emissions. No engine modifications are necessary. NAI has successfully tested M-Fuel on diesel engines and is currently shipping samples to large trucking fleets for field testing.

Pancake Disk DC Motor
Sealed 13 ” electric disk motor that produces 50 HP and 350 Ft/lbs (475 Nw Meters) of torque, which is the equivalent torque of a 3-liter gasoline engine. The Pancake motor weighs just 27 kilograms and is stackable for use on SUVs, electric industrial equipment, and electric/hybrid vehicles. NAI has partnered with CIM Research, Inc. to produce 20 motors for testing in various vehicle applications.

NAI has 11 employees in Ottawa, Canada and Phoenix, Arizona. The company plans to open at a €100M market cap on the DAX when is trading commences. We are structuring a 10M EUR equity offering at a significant discount to the stock price. NAI management will be in Europe for a roadshow scheduled to begin 24th February for two weeks.

Considering that top major banks issue Medium Term Notes (known as MTNs and Mid-Term Notes) to raise funds in both U.S. and Euro dollars, we can better understand that they are for the purpose of generating Operating Loans and issuing Letters of Credit to businesses which wish to buy material and products from other business organizations in other countries.

To further expand on this in laymen terms, this therefore results in an International Treaty whereby the U.S. Dollar (or the Euro) becomes the common Medium of Exchange for International Trading.

By Federal Law, a European bank is not allowed to sell such Medium Term Notes directly to the Public. They must be issued and sold through a Federal Reserve Licensed Trader; just as in the same context a Corporation or a Municipality must sell Bonds through a Dealer or Underwriter.

The Trader, aiding in the distributional sales of newly issued MTNs from the major sized Bank will have a $50B (Billion) contract (or of equivalent amounts) with the Issuing Bank to purchase MTNs for immediate resale. This Trader would instigate the following:

A Non-Revocable Contract (see further explanation in Paragraph A) with an Exit Buyer, such as a Pension Fund, to buy those MTNs from them immediately, and with a contract with a Participating Investor, acting as the Trader’s ‘Associate’ to furnish the Proof Of Funds (POF) required, simply as a formality, to start and continue the Purchase and Resale series of Transactions.

The Trader also makes contractual arrangements with their own bank, through their bank’s ‘Back Room’ Trading Department, to act for them during the Transactions of $100M (Million) or greater. This $100M amount is the minimum set by the U. S. Federal Reserve for this type of Bank issued MTN Distribution.

The ‘Associate’ thereby arranges for their own bank to issue to themselves a POF using $100M in Cash Funds, which are wholly owned by them, in their account at their own bank. This enacts the ability to obtain cash credit of $100M for the POF. This POF is then sent to the Trader in accordance with the contract between Trader and their ‘Associate’.

It is important to note that Medium Term Note Trading is a very specific process. When less than experienced Associates expect absolute perfection and “up-to-the-minute” communication, these immediate reactions inevitably cause more delays, short-comings and frustrations on behalf of not only the Associate but the Trade Platform as well.

Several factors influence the timing of entering a trade; the current availability of Medium Term Notes, which can easily be in short supply, the timing of the trade submission and the specific programs that cancel without notice. On occasion, these unexpected market trends give a false illusion resulting in the sophisticated MTN Trading Platform to appear chaotic. Nothing is further than the truth.

Below is a typical scenario of a Private Mid-Term Buy/Sell Program.

a. The Trader’s Bank communicates with the Issuing Bank as well as with the Exit Buyer’s Bank, obtaining a detailed agreement with the Issuing Bank Officer and with the Exit Buyer’s Bank that they are both prepared to commence the contracted series of Transactions. The Exit Buyer’s Bank forwards a POF to the Trader’s Bank for the amount of the first purchase of $100M (Note – When a POF has been issued for the Exit Buyer and forwarded to the Trader’s Bank, there is a legal Funding Commitment to complete that Transaction, which may NOT be revoked while the transaction is taking place).

b. The Trader’s Bank forwards to the Issuing Bank a POF in the name of the Trader and requests that a MTN be issued in the name of the Trader, along with an Invoice at a discounted price, say for example only $97M, payable in 8 Hours.

c. A copy of the Note and an invoice at $97M, is forwarded to the Trader’s Bank, which authenticates signatures and MTN terms to verify compliance with the Purchase Contract.

d. The Trader’s Bank then forwards the copy of the MTN, along with a Conditional Assignment of the MTN, to the Exit Buyer’s Bank, along with an Invoice at the Exit Buyer’s Purchase Contract Price, $100M for example purposes, payable in 4 hours.

e. The Exit Buyer’s Bank authenticates signatures, verifies compliance with the Purchase Contract, and pays the $100M Invoice price to the Trader’s Bank for credit to Trader’s account, within the 4 hour limit.

f.The Trader’s Bank pays Issuing Bank’s Invoice for $97M within the 8 hour limit, along with instructions for the Original MTN to be sent to the Exit buyer’s Bank by courier.

g. The Trader’s Bank debits the Trader a Bank Fee (1/4% for example purposes) for their Services Rendered, and forwards the balance, $100M minus $97M minus 1/4 %, to the Trader, who pays the Trader’s ‘Associate’ for their Service Rendered.

h. The Procedure used for this example, typically takes place 4 times each day of a 4 business day week, and repeats until the Trader’s Purchase Contract is completed. Using this formula, the weekly payments to the ‘Associate’, would be equal to 22% of their POF amount. (3% per transaction x 4 per day x 4 days per week = 48% – 4% as Bank Fee = 44% / 2 = 22% = $22M per week)

Note: The Operation described above is a very conservative one. There are other MTN Trade Operations, of the same MTN basis but involving a resale of the MTNs by the ‘Exit Buyer’, which have a higher Rate of Return to the Trader involved, and therefore an even higher payment to the ‘Associate’ involved.

An experienced Associate can safely state that with the listed procedure and controls for the Transactions, the only reason for a Transaction failing, once commenced, would be for the Exit Buyer’s Bank to default on completing a contracted purchase of a Note, which would result in a jeopardy to their Bank Charter.

Should any default take place, it would be quite simple for the Trader to make the required Payment, using their own Funds, to complete their purchase of the Instrument, and to immediately sell it to a different contracted Exit Buyer. This action by the Trader eliminates any risk of loss by the Buyers and Exit Buyers and ‘Associate’.

NOTE: With minor variances in the connection of an Investor’s Funds to a Trader’s $100M Operating Fund, an Investor may enter into an Operation with $10M, or more, with similar percentage payments to them for services rendered. By the same token, an Investor may enter into a trading operation with as much over $100M as they have available.

When you’re evaluating Small cap stocks with the view to making a purchase for your portfolio, that calculator is going to be a very big help in enabling you to make an informed choice. Take a cue from the serious investors , who analyze the figures and ratios related to the stocks.

Price to Earnings Ratio (P/E)

The P/E is a number that looks at the relationship between the company’s earnings and the price of its stocks. Of all the ratios used for fundamental stocks analysis, this is the most popular. The P/E ratio is calculated by dividing the share price over the company’s EPS, or Earnings Per Share. This will give you an idea of how much the market is willing to pay for each share, and whether a company’s Small cap stocks are high or low relative to its earnings.

A high figure may indicate that there are high hopes for this company’s stocks in the market. On the other hand, it may also be a sign that the company’s stock is overpriced. A low figure could mean that the market doesn’t trust the stock, or that it may be a diamond in the rough and still undiscovered.

Earnings Per Share (EPS)

Earnings per share is computed as the company’s net earnings over its outstanding shares. This figure is helpful in comparing a company’s Small cap stocks with another, in the same industry. Comparing the EPS of a telecomm company with a startup healthcare provider would be like comparing apples to grapes. Don’t take the EPS alone. To be able to make a more informed choice, use this figure to compute for other ratios.

Projected Earnings Growth (PEG)

This figure is computed by dividing the price to earnings ratio over the projected earnings growth. This number helps you estimate the company’s potential for future growth. The higher the number, the more you are willing to pay for each share of future earnings growth. A low P/E with a low projected earnings growth could be a sign that this is an expensive investment, while a high P/E with high projected earning growth indicates that the stock may be a good investment.

Price to Sales Ratio (P/S)

Some companies’ startups ‘may be too young to have any earnings, but may be worthy of consideration. The price to sales ratio allows you to determine a Small cap stock’s potential through the stock price relative to the company’s sales.

The price to sales ratio is computed by taking the stock price and dividing it by the sales price per share. The lower the P/S, the better the value of the stock.

Price to Book Ratio (P/B)

Another indication of the potential of Small cap stocks is the price to book ratio. This is computed by taking the price per share and dividing it by the book value per share. The lower the price to book ratio, the better the value of the Small cap stocks would be. This ratio tells you how much the market considers the book value of the company.

Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR)

This is computed by taking the dividends per share and dividing it by the earnings per share. Newer and smaller companies would tend to have a lower dividend or none at all, as they would retain their profit to fund their growth. Bigger and more mature companies tend to pay more and bigger dividends.

Dividend Yield (DY)

The dividend yield is a number that indicates what percentage return a company pays out to its stockholders through dividends. Usually, older and more stable companies will reflect a higher percentage, and their dividend histories are more consistent. The dividend yield is computed by taking the annual dividend per share and dividing it by the stock’s price.

Book Value (BV)

One way of determining a Small cap stock company’s worth is through the book value, which is computed by subtracting the company’s liabilities from its assets. A growing company with a good growth potential would be worth much more than its book value.

Return on Equity (ROE)

The ROE is a measure of determining how well a company uses its assets to produce earnings. This is computed by dividing the net income by book value. Companies selling Small cap stocks that show how consistently they can squeeze out more profits with the assets they have are generally better investments. The ROE becomes even more useful when you look at the company’s figure over a number of years, say the last five years.

When evaluating Small cap stocks through these ratios, we suggest that you compare companies within similar industries. Don’t take one ratio and base your purchase decision on that one ratio alone; use a combination of ratios, and consider other information about the company as well before you buy any Small cap stocks.

Current providers of cellular service to aircraft claim they will migrate to LTE for future delivery of data in flight. Here an article debunks that notion. It will always be limited.

LTE top speed is 12 Mbps

The reason is that LTE requires dedicated spectrum. That means users of LTE will have to pay for spectrum at a cost now of billions of dollars to be able to use LTE.

Even IF they could get the data rates suggested below (which are point-to-point, NOT to a moving aircraft), they do not have enough dedicated spectrum to do it. And when they switch to unlicensed spectrum as Wi-sky Inflight Inc. are doing, they will conflict with their patents and know-how.

Inflight Surveillance Now Available with Hyper-Speed Data Link

FRANKFURT, Germany (January 7, 2010) — Wi-SKY Inflight today announced a terrorist detection system based on in-depth inflight surveillance using the Wi-SKY DataLynk to transmit high-definition video of the cabin to ground monitoring stations, thereby enabling airline and air marshal specialists to use facial recognition and behavior observations to expand background checks, identify possible threats and notify airline crews of potential risk situations.

“The key to the terrorist detection system is the Wi-SKY DataLynk which enables the real-time transmission of high-definition video from the airplane cabin that was never before possible,” explains Grant Sharp, CEO of Wi-SKY Inflight. “No other technology today has the capacity to deliver live video with sufficient resolution to make positive identification of passenger suspects aboard multiple aircraft simultaneously to ground monitoring stations.”

The Wi-SKY terrorist detection system utilizes the highest-speed data link available to transmit high definition images and other vital flight data to the ground for monitoring and evaluation by trained experts.

Persons of interest can be identified during flight and investigated in greater depth. Onboard air marshals or flight crew can be alerted to take appropriate preventive actions.

“The inflight terrorist detection system is a failsafe measure intended to backup the initial pre-flight screening,” explains Sharp. “It is not always possible to investigate all potential suspects before each flight without causing significant delays.” Wi-SKY’s objective is to provide investigators additional time and information in flight to identify potential threats in time to take action.
Once a potential threat onboard has been identified, trained air marshals or flight crew can take protective measures. The activity of the suspect passenger can be curtailed, or the flight plan can be altered as necessary. In the extreme, inflight arrests can be made if the passenger background check indicates there are extremely suspicious affiliations and activities.

The Wi-SKY DataLynk will transmit 100 Mbps as far as 100 miles from the ground base station. Aircraft will experience greater data rates at distances closer than 100 miles. Each base station can deliver this data rate to as many as 12-16 aircraft simultaneously, depending on spacing and separation in the sky. This data rate is fifty times faster than current technology. The system will be available on commercial aircraft by the summer of 2010.

New Air-to-Ground Connectivity Provides “Cockpit Coaching” to Reduce Leading Cause of Commercial Aviation Fatalities

FRANKFURT, Germany (Nov. 9, 2009) — Wi-SKY Inflight today introduced improved flight safety through real-time Black Box monitoring that is achievable for the first time through its exclusive 100 megabit-per-second wireless data transfer – making possible the early detection and cockpit coaching for aircraft performance problems while still in flight.
The complete aircraft avionics data stored on the Flight Data Recorder (FDR or Black Box) is too voluminous to display on the cockpit instrument panel, and too large to transmit to the ground with current communication systems.

The FDR monitors 88 parameters of aircraft performance from as many as 1,100 sensors and can accumulate as much as four gigabytes of data per flight. Current cellular or satellite technology can only transmit between 1 and 3 Mbps, which makes a real-time download of the total aircraft avionics data impossible during flight and excessively slow after the flight. Therefore pilots must now rely upon extracted highlights of the Black Box information.

“At today’s data rates, it would take up to six hours to transmit four gigabytes of data from each one-hour flight,” explains Michael Leabman, CTO of Wi-SKY Inflight. “In contrast, Wi-SKY can transmit an entire four gigabyte file in less than 13 minutes. A real-time transfer rate of at least nine Mbps is necessary to download a file this large during flight.”

The Wi-SKY air-to-ground data link can transmit 100 Mbps to each aircraft, which is more data than a satellite transmits to an entire continent – 80 Mbps to share among hundreds of customers. “Our 100 Mbps system is like giving each plane a dedicated satellite to deliver its data,” notes Leabman.

After an aircraft accident, when the complete avionics information in the Black Box is examined, the cause of some crashes is determined to be aircraft conditions unknown to the pilots during the last stages of the flight.

“It’s unfortunate that airlines have had to wait to recover the Black Box after a crash to find out everything that the aircraft avionics data files were reporting about flight performance but now Wi-SKY’s technology will change all of that,” explained Grant Sharp, CEO of Wi-SKY Inflight. “By monitoring and analyzing the complete FDR data files during the flight, we can discover performance issues and enable ground-based expert engineers and pilots to coach the cockpit crew during an emergency.”
